Finally i have managed to complete the renders of my Droideka, hope you like it
Modeled in SolidWorks 2006
Model: 10-14 hrs
Rendering Preparation: 2-3 hrs
Render: 2 hrs
Really really cool!
The structure is virtually perfect, isn't it? I really like the shiny finish. Are you planning on making a rougher finished one? I think it'd look awesome with a matte finish on the brown parts too.
I like this one better than the ones in the movies at any rate.

<== your biggest fan..
ya.. bu cok guzel bisi.. tek tek cizdin parcalari resmen.. render olayina girmiorum bile.. tebrik ediorum master mechi-chan.. digerlerini de heyecanla beklioruz..
thanks a lot
i will make rougher renders, but not now i made this model as an assembly and it has real joints. so i turned the parts and changed it into the transport configuration (you know the droid turns into a disk). firstly i will render that configuration, and after that i will make a matte render. thanks again for your interest
Wow, looks awesome... and you said all the joints move too? That's just insane.
It looks more like a metal model then a render... take a good look at it, and tell me that wouldn't be the coolest action figure ever. It's hard to believe it's CG at this point.

thanks it is because of the program i use: SolidWorks. It is an engineering software and i also use it in my school & projects. so my droideka model has nearly 50 parts and they are connected with real joints and i can use this to give it any position i will make a render of transport configuration now, and after that i plan to model all SW characters hope you all like them too
thanks
i never got close enough to it in BF2 to look at its structure @_@
nice work! ^_^b
